A local janitorial service has been contracting their carpet cleaning to me for a couple of years. They brought on a general manager who hired 2 college students. Went to Jon-Don and purchased a Ninja and a Cimex along with cases of juice, sent the boys to take a class at JD and now they are professional carpet cleaners. He said he can now clean carpet at .05 per foot and STILL make money. The students make about $8 p/hr.
What is this world coming to?
Is anyone having your commercial accounts back off on the carpet cleaning frequency because of the economy in the crapper?
Don't know for sure but I have been told the most expensive firm in my town is bidding carpet cleaning at .08 p/square foot for less than 9000 s/f.
