Looking at a b-50 (or I-50) Flir camera. Fits in our budget and needs. Any feedback from those who are knowledgeable and have experience with this camera?
Thanks Al

We have 3-of the big Fluke Cameras, no experience with Flir. I know Flir makes good cameras, the military uses them.

I think you got this information before, but for the benefit of others -
The b series cameras are designed and calibrated for use at ambient building temperatures. (B for buildings.) The i series cameras are designed for use at much higher industrieal temperatures.

So if you want to use for water damage restoration, home inspection, energy audits and so forth, you want the b series. If you'll be inspecting industrial equipment, electrical junctions and so forth, get the i series.

Buy a b-50 camera through Interlink Supply before the end of this year and you will also get an Extech boroscope free.

We've only had one problem with the one camera of all three and we caused it by jamming the memory card in the wrong direction. We did have to send it in and they repaired it and sent it back.

No other problem in the 6-7-years we have owned them.

Askal;

With all the new cameras, it can be a difficult decision.

For best value, we like the I7 Flir with 14,400 pixel count.

It gives you better resolution,
at a reasonable price point (2K).

Larry
