Inline waste filter for a portable?

How well does the inline waste filter work with a portable?
Does it hamper the vac any more than the mesh catch bag that it has?

Im running a Truckforce 3500 From Masterblend. 100cfm 14inches hg. 2" hose and wand.

There should be no problem running an inline filter on that unit.
