My calls all start with “are you still cleaning”, and then proceed normally.
Same.

I just spent a half hour on the phone with Sager and I still feel the need to talk carpet cleaning so I've been going through my contacts list and I'm surprised by how many dead or dead to me people are still on my phone..

Can I call you right now so we can talk about acid rinses?

I have been adding Saiger Cide, eucalyptus scent to my prespray. More for the scent than for actually trying to cure something. I wipe down all touch surfaces with Saiger Cide and wash my hands or use hand sanitizer regularly. I have reusable masks that my wife has sewn for me but hard to wear when working. They become unsanitary quickly. No customers have asked for anything except when can you come.

The rug in my garage soaking pit has the whole area reeking of Saigercide. While it works great I can't say I'm a fan of the odour

So far, customers like the eucalyptus but I don't over do it. The Saigercide is another product that you can spray on and leave as well. The best scent I have is Harvards Japanese pear scent deodorizer. Very light and pleasant.

I'm very much trying to avoid wearing a mask when working or anytime else really. Easier and more effective to limit contact and keep distance from each other.

I just tell people we are still working and trying to follow the distancing guidelines. Haven't had any issues (other than April being down about 50%, but we've got enough going on to keep the wheels turning).

I charge $150 for less. We don't go out the door for less than $150.

you and Piglet have 30 years as one man show O/Op in the biz too.
I sure af hope you're not slogging a wand in $75 dollar empties
Derick is a window cleaner/house cleaner with a whole year or two in the CC'ing biz but "isn't a fan" of grossing $150-$200 an hour (should only take 1/2 hour to 40 minutes max to clean 150sf from set to tear down

Yeah, but you have to load the porty in the van, bring the appropriate equipment for portable work, drive to the location, unload everything, bring it up the elevator, set it up, clean the carpets, get paid, load everything up and now you have the porty in the way, making it awkward for your next job. Not that you can't make money like that but you can make more focusing on easier jobs. I have many people call and when they find out it's $150 for the one room they need cleaned, they call someone else. That's fine with me because it keeps my competitors busy with low end jobs, leaving my good customers alone. Some people say," that's way too much" and others say, "is that all"?

I'm beginning to wonder if you don't have more sh1t than Murphy's
I have no idea what ya talking about.. yes, $100 took me about 40 min or little less. Better than 79.99 that others do. At this point, i am taking the jobs that i can get.

Why would i not be a fan? Making 100/hr as window cleaner is very good. I dont clean house as much anymore but will definitely continue to take on move out cleaning where i can full range of restorative work such as what Mike is doing.

I recently watch an dan udy video when he did apt for $85 that appears to be 2 bedroom and a living room. From looks of it, it was at least 400sf with at least 3 guys working on it..

So yeah ill do 150sf for 100bucks..

There’s a reason Larry is no longer in business and can make more money elsewhere.

it ain't that Pokechop
it's fool and his money thing.

I just found an easier way to make money than slinging a wand into my 60s
(Not that there’s anything wrong with that)

Why would i not be a fan?

maybe I miss interpreted what you wrote then :headscratch:

"not a fan of" would imply something other than being a fan of....

Oh, im not fan doin apts for any kind of cleaning. I dont mind the money tho. If i can do 5 apt for $100, in same place. ill do it.

I rather be doing bigger score, like $650 window cleaning and $400 carpet cleaning all in one day at one house
