Is buying a franchise a waste of money?

At first I planned on buying a carpet cleaning franchise but I don't think it is worth it.

From what I can tell, it is totally not worth it........

Some are, if by association you will have a stream of work coming to you then it possibly could be.

If you just buying system for marketing, management and training then maybe not so much, unless you're a newbie.

I've considered several franchises in and outside this industry. I personally would only look an established branch or territory
