Looking at this thing and having used it a couple of times, I think a great titanium wand with glides works faster and less fatigue then the Bonzer....could I be using it wrong but what production time can this really offer and ease of use?

The bonzer is just a piece of crap. Now a Zipper is a finely crafted tool that works wonders in wide open areas. With 2 people, it makes short work of even the most heavily soiled hallways in condo buildings as it flushes and vacs in both directions. Pair it up with an auto pump out and you will blast through commercial carpet like no tomorrow. But a bonzer, well a bonzer is just wrong.

But they both are push pull trigger push pull etc. unless one comes with electric wheels?

I’ve never used a Zipper. Maybe that’s what I need to checkout to make a real comparison.

I get that...but in something’s copies can be just as good....but without bashing the manufacture what does this thing offer over a wand?
Maybe but usually cheaper is cheaply made. Such is the case here.

If it were half the price maybe then I could see it. However when its 3/4 of the cost of a hugely better design and build then you're not saving, you're over paying for inferior quality.

Although it's your money. Buy it and tell us what we already know.

Cost is not a factor in comparing these two tools. Mainly for the fact that the Zipper will last much longer without the risk of breaking. And it's not a big price difference when you compare the production rate that these tools will bring in.

I tried one for a couple days. I didnt mind using it, but for me the results weren't that great. I was doing these vacation cabins on a resort golf course. The course is on the beach. I switched back and forth from my devastator to the bonzer. I did some accurate comparisons and the devastator pulled out almost twice the sand from the carpet. With a bigger truckmount it might work better. With my little 33 blower it left the carpets wet.

How many years have you been cleaning carpet?
I’ve been a flooring contractor (sales, installation, restretch and repairs)/ carpenter for 35 years. For the last 7 years I have been a cleaning contractor which includes daily cleaning of a few accounts, vct strip and finish etc... that’s what my mother and father did for 20+ years before my father past away. For the last 2 years I’ve been doing carpets, ceramic tile, and LVT. I started with the jaguar 8.4, diesel heater. Then I got the Rage which I’m looking to sale. Now I have a 370. I’ve spent a lot to find out what I like lol. I always had people ask me do you clean carpet too. I always said no haha. Now I don’t.

The only reason I asked that is because if you’re not that busy yet with carpet and one day you get a massive job for just one man, you’ll regret selling it. I only know that because I did that exactly. I thought I wasn’t gonna need it, landed a big church account, damaged my shoulder for wanding almost non stop for 9hours and regretted it. I now own another one

I hope you take my advice and keep it. Just remember to walk away from the hose on those big rooms. If you don't use it every week, don't worry, you'll use it more in the future if you're chasing bigger jobs.

And I learned something new with my zipper last week. On that big room posted at that church, did you try going in different directions? (forward backwards and left to right?) The only reason I'm asking is I did that on my last job and it extracted water differently. When I pushed it left to right, I could barely see any water on the dry passes, but when I went forward and backwards, it showed twice as much water being extracted on the dry passes. @Mark Saiger , what's your thoughts? Did it perform better on the wet passes or perform better on the dry passes going in the different directions due to the nap of the commercial carpet? Has anyone else noticed that?

I do notice certain carpets react differently during cleaning when pulling some different directions.

There are only a very few I don't find getting much out during dry passes.

Also try making a 20 foot vac hose and water line combo strapped together. It is much easier.

We have been using a hide a hose to experiment.

Like it a lot but I am going to try one dedicated of 20 foot vacuum with 22 feet of high pressue line strapped together.

I have one that I would sale for $1,200.00. It’s a 13” only a 5 flow but that can be changed. I’ve had it a little over a year.

I would certainly be interested in your Zipper. In fact, I could stand a second one. I hate to see you sell it, but I’d be the one to buy it if you want it gone🤷🏻‍♂️ Let me know.

Kenny never call your wife partner. That term is a made up word used by two people of the same. Of course do and say what you want....but my wife ain’t no partner....she is my wife.
