a laptop suitable for biz that's at or under $500?

all I've owned are $300 Walmart HP's
They suck in speed and performance compared to my cheap ($500) desktop HP

I've bought two Toshiba laptops for about that amount, first was bulletproof we used it as our primary PC for 5 years, second has had some bugs but otherwise works well for what we use it for, had it 2-3 years now

look for a local refurb reseller, Its what my nephew does he buys in lots from end of lease offices and schools. Cleans them out upgrades etc and on sells with 6 month warrenty. Yes they are 2nd hand but they are cheap for the specs generally

what kind of biz are you doing on this thing?


I usually by whatever acer or asus (no chromebook) is 4-5 hundred and haven't had any issues........bought a couple open box........................but I leave large file manipulation, rendering, etc to my desktop or amazon workspace

My partner uses the Toshiba. We have it all on there. Quik Books, etc. But she’s in the market for a new one, because this ones getting old. We set it aside for a little, cause we built a building shop and it went from 30k to 60k
