Lets say your having a conversation with a complete "ass hat" and he just out of the blue starts throwing threats and says stuff like "stay the hell away from --------" or "don't even try to get them because I have them locked down".

This stuff just came out of left field for no reason.

Would it be wrong if 30 minuets later you were in said building giving them an unreal rate just to show Mr."ass hat" that nothings "locked down" and he no longer has the account?

Some people just have a knack for making friends. If we're providing commercial quotes, I assume that 'somebody' is already working the account. Have never had the time to target specific competitors, but go after buisness that's good for our our company and employees.

Now if you were taking aim at my accounts I would welcome it. I believe that the only way for you to steal an account from me is if I am doing something wrong. When you provide the best service at fair prices your accounts won't even be in the market to change. If they are looking then I am doing something wrong and will change that.

As far as threatening that was dumb. It would of been much more effective to make friends with you and tell you how he needs this account to feed his family or something. creating enemies is bad for business all the way around.
