I still love being in the field.

Sunday it was -1 degrees with a bitter cold wind. We worked all day processing WDR, I unloaded 3 wdr trucks in that cold (60) pieces of drying equipment and carried it in while the crews extracted and move contents.

I had a terrible headache all evening from being out in the cold. Woke up the next day still with the headache. lol

I worked all week helping with wdr work. Loved it! I waz born for this shit! :winky:

Yep... Still love the field work too.

Best place to be so can test tools, chems...

And meeting and just talking with clients... Love it.

Sometimes with both vans on same job site, I get to enjoy a lot of coffee and conversation too with clients while the guys work :)

And... I still love the physical work too!

:)

Welcome back to Cra Cra Island!
How has the "building" gone and whats worked the best for you?
thanks Ron, the building has been documented systems that can carry on after I'm gone. I don't want to be the guy that kept it all in his head, and ended when he left.

Where in the F did you get the term suckmopping? Don't know your low life background but that is just wrong.

I love doing this and I figured I'd do it till I drop dead. However, I am starting to hurt more and more every day.
The years of loading trucks in a warehouse and digging holes in people's backyards are catching up with me.
I need to get off the truck soon. I might be in the passenger seat by the end of next summer.

Right now 3 or 4. I've got just one truck out each day. Last summer I was doing 5 or 6 with the one truck. This summer with two hopefully we will be doing 8-10.
It was a good year. We are up $40k+ over last year.

I'm confused.

How are you doing more jobs and running two trucks?
I'm not. Right now we just have one truck going. Winter slow down has set in. So we are doing just a few jobs a day. Tomorrow I have four houses. I only take junior if I have a big day. Come spring, we will get the two trucks going full time.

For a lot of guys, 4 houses is a big day. If Junior is available, you should bring him with you. 2 guys can do things a lot faster and more efficiently that 1 alone and it gives you more opportunity to upsell. Not talking about scamming the customer but let's say you are there to do the carpets only but they have upholstery that needs cleaning. If you are by yourself, often you will pass on that because your day is full already. With 2 guys, you can knock it out faster and possibly make more money per job. I find myself leaving money on the table because I am too busy in the moment.
