Periodically replace your wheel bearings. My front right tire had the bearings go out and I LOST MY BRAKES. Its a good thing I was on the interstate.
When the wheel bearings went out, it messed up my brake pad and rotor but interestingly enough the caliper was fine.
My wheel was hanging on for dear life by the brake pad holding the rotor.
So, if you haven't replaced your wheel bearings in a while, go ahead and do it, NOW.
