I find the supposed interpretation lacking and the "art" lazy....

That said it fits the commissioned project and isn't being raised instead of the US flag.....so idgas

A lot of brave people have died to preserve the rights of dipshits to do stupid shit.

I posted this as sort of a joke to make fun of Mr Jayhawk Janitor.

I respect the flag...and freedom of speech/expression as well.

But I don't get bent out of shape over a fabric. I teach my boys to understand the flag as symbol and have a certain reverence about it but not in an overly zealous way.

Although people have the right to express themselves, I find that these types of "shock art" distasteful. I agree with you Fred, that it is lacking in artistic talent and doesn't send any kind of message except that of lousy, lazy art. If you even want to call it that.
