I used the 5 inch Monkey Pads along with a Ryobi palm oscillator to to wonders on getting soap scum and hard water deposits off a marble slab shower stall today.

Took it all off and left a nice shine with the Purple pad, that finally gave way and I finished up with the Yellow 8000



Other than the fact that my hands are still vibrating, I'm $950 richer and the customer is happy

I had a tuff shower the other day. Al's soap scum stuff was not working very well. I toggled back and forth with it and an acid. When you find the tough ones, will floor stripper or purple power make for a stronger substitute on Al's stuff?

I have the milwaukee version of that it does work great on the edges of a stone floor and showers (both stone and not).

I had four batteries out of 20 or so go bad early, but good experience with the bulk of them. Maybe a bad batch?

Gradually switching over to the green lithium version, not happy that my existing van and wall chargers have to be changed also.

My grandsons love my tools!...and losing them like their dads did.

I like it. I have one like that coming up that I was thinking to use a honing powder on with Ultra Clean as the moisture. I don't know why I didn't think of that! That's what were gonna start with.

I don't know where you store the batteries, but leaving them stored in an unheated garage in the winter will put the hurts on any battery.

I have cordless tools from most major manufactures..and use them all for work and play
Dewalt, Bosch, Milwaukee, Rigid and Ryobi

DeWalt's batteries have been the best
Milwaukee's were the biggest disappointment.
Bosch, Rigid and Ryobi are in between, and in that order

However, Ryobi is also the least expensive battery to replace ...$25 ea ...$49 for the 18vt two pack



as far as that corded Ryobi palm sander in Mike's pic, I have two of them that have been in heavy use for the last two years in my woodworking ventures .
They've held up better than my Dewalt

if you don't want to buy them from HD, go to Sears and buy a Craftsman ...Ryobi makes Craftsman's tools
Ryobi makes the best power tools in their price range
and better than the more expensive Rigid brand

And they are DEAD by morning.

I have a 12volt Ryobi that is 10 years old and will hold a charge for a month
along with a bunch of Craftsman tools that stay charged.

18 one+'s are junk

Both sets I bought were at the beginning of summer 09 and 10.
Never saw cold weather
and did not last through 1 home renovation (flip)

You should be able to charge a battery and take it off the charger
in the afternoon and be able to use it the next morning without
it being DEAD.
Price does not make it any better if you can't use it.

Change to lithium-ion batteries.

They will hold a charge far longer (~1 yr.) than NiMH types.

They do cost more, but they are the most advanced battery we have.

Amway used to have a citrus cleaner for tubs etc, it cut through that grime after a little dwell time. O2 is very similar.
