why didn't you go with 10-40wt?

a carpet wagon is never under 32 degrees temp.
and runs in an environment much hotter than that

Some oil ports in some engines need that thinner oil to lube you're camshaft properly.

Kevin is probably right on the zinc. I was wondering why you're not using high mileage motor oil. Those kohler engines love to drool a little oil over time

Not sure if high mileage oil would help a Kohler. I think high mileage is for the internals where a Kohler just leaks out the gaskets especially the valve covers.

I thought the purpose of high mileage motor oil was to keep the gaskets more soft to prevent leaks

Looks like it has additives to condition internal as well as external seals to help with oil consumption along with extra detergents for sludge build up.
Never used it myself so couldn't tell you whether it works or not or mostly a marketing gimmick.
