I understand Gene lost that company in a divorce. Someone is using the name and making truckmounts in California somewhere.

Lots of companies have made diesel truckmounts, and they were all nice and clean, when they were new.

Time sorts things out.

I had heard BR went south back in the mid 90's.
Saw a few pics of new units a couple years after I bought mine, even saw one in Phoenix. Funny thing about that was these guys had the exhaust coming out the bottom side of the van, got the curb all black and they left it, didn't bother to clean it. That plus they were auto dumping right onto the pavement. They certainly weren't using highflow, nor were they prespraying. Just one step cleaning with maybe 04 flow.

Challenge with a diesel is they do get dirty after a while. Maybe the new Kohlers aren't as bad as the old Perkins

Diesels have certainly come a long way and the hose has helped a ton too. The 24 hp yanmar in my john deers tractor only puffs on start up but then is smoke free all the way up to 2900rpm. using the loader with a full bucket of dirt doesn't seem to affect it either. Granted its got 40 hours on it, can't say what it will do with a couple thousand hours...

Doug,

We ran a prototype production of about 20, and we stopped to see if any issues would develop. We were using he Briggs & Stratton 3 cylinder diesel and we had problems with engine oil leaks on about 6 or 7 units. We are still offering this unit as a custom-built but with a Kohler diesel.
