I use a magnetic oil drain plug to catch any metal floating around...

But recently I foound two very strong round magnets, they were throwing them away at a Wendys .We do...

I put one under the oil pan and one under the tranny pan...

You might consider find a pair to do the same...

Better to catch the metal if need be,versus damage...

Just a point to consider...

Since I have been up, Since Sunday morning and cannot sleep ...

I think way too much...lol ...Like 2.am Saturday night.I got a new idea for Truck mounts.

Then I had to go to the metal fabricators to have it made...

attach them to your filter instead, that way the metal dust is in the filter when you change it.. just remember to keep them when changing the filter next time. :D

Good point, one reason I change oil every 1000/1200 miles, and tranny fluids and filters ,every 3-4 months...

Use k and n oil filters, love them suckers, she runs so nice...

But the magnets I have are about 4 inches round, not really a good fit ...

They will stick, but there is a socket fitting on the end ?

I had the frame piece where she sits (oil Filter) drilled out too,no excess gunk accumulations .

She has never leaked but if you change the oil,it falls into that then it used to.Drip from that...And drips are a no go...

We clean drive thru pads for money, but to drip on a driveway...

Do not like complaints, not used to them, never will be...

After every oil change she goes up on the ramps and toweled off...

When I first started the company we used to carry a red nylon plush rug inside...

Then used to park on it...

But it became a hassle, could not put it on the roof due to bad weather days.Considered astro turf...

But not nowadays...But image wise got tons of compliments...

First time I ever came across this was I got a 96 Ford Taurus from my sister and decided to change all fluids and serious tune up pull the tranny pan to replace the filter and and came across a donut looking blob in the bottom of the pan (looked like a donut) was a magnet with quite bit of metal.
