It's definitely designed to leave zero residue.

I poured some straight on the highest traffic lane areas in my house and didn't blot it just let it dry and there's absolutely no sign 3 months later.

Most of the time I'm just problem-solving with it and using it straight but you could use it down to 8 oz per gallon to work as an end cap or anything else but to me that's a waste
