Ya I would never let my lead hose touch the ground nor would I ever start work before the customer knew the price. May be wrong but think I saw him offering franchising opportunities on craigslist for 10g...

We have different customers

Jeez EDS , I guess I'm in competition with both of you. Except I hate residential.
Oh no Willy....if you don't have a TM your not competition. For the jobs that I cannot use a TM I am sure that you are hands down better than me. I use ninja 500psi but have no heat and refuse too use bucket heaters. apartments are the least profitable type of client for me so I do not invest the time or money on the dead horse.

Above, I see mentioned that "he has personality " I'm sorry, but if this is what you view as an: "at least he has a personality"... Then we're not on the same page.

This guy with this "forceful" slimy salesman personality would be booted off my driveway quicker than you think. I just have a hard time going along with the forced "nice-ness" and the overwhelming "talking till the customer is confused and can't say anything" type attitude.

Be genuine. People can tell- even your smile- if it's real or just a fake suck up face until I get your check.

BTW, I didn't watch the whole thing. Just bits. I'm pretty sure we have discussed this guy before and dissected his "performance".

The address was edited out..

I don't think it was meant to be a comedy(scary as it may seem)..

I wouldn't let that guy in my house! Seems like he's on drugs..

Right there Ed.. Do that and you will be miles ahead of this guy (can't believe you called this guy your competition)! Lol.

In the beginning as an O/O I would try to remember my last conversation with the custy and start up where we left off.. Any personal note you can remember is great!

If I were you I would sub Willy all your portable work.. I hate portables, and he is good!

Ok so I watched some more of this guys vids. In the other video I watched he had shoe covers and corner guards. Not nearly offensive as the first vid we all saw. Of course i object to the 1.5 inch whip hose and the stand red two jet pmt wand but but there are worse out there...

Perhaps...but I can't give up condos in my market even if I know someone else can do a better job ( probably not by much and a noticeable difference ). Still have to run a business... and though condos may be my least profitable they are still profitable. Perhaps when I am more established and running a multi truck operation that would be viable. Now it is eat what you kill...and I am ver hungry!!!

When you get 2-4 condos in the same building, that's how you make it profitable... Let them know you can give them and a neighbor/friend a break in price if booked at the same time.. I know you have a TM but Porty work can be profitable..

Yeah maybe...for me the hassle is finding parking. I have work the majority of buildings in my service areas but the apartments are always the same...move outs. Very rarely will i find homeowner in a condo. Usually it is two bedrooms hallway living room dining room combo for 225. Dont get me wrong, Im happy to have them since it is less where and tear on my tM. However, my production rate drastically drops from 2-300 per hour down to 150 at best.

And the move outs are always the pigs who have huge expectations because they want their damage deposit back. Sorry you can't leave fido in you apartment all day while you are at work/school then expect me to take care of all or the urine spots. It is a wand NOT a magic wand..

I have some nice pics of people who said that they had a pet yet only had a couple of urine spots. Last week I came in to a unit and promptly left because of that issue. There was nothing I could do to the carpets. The guy even asked if he had to pay for me for showing up. I said no....dude your going to need your money...you will be lucky if you do not get sued.

We do have some nice vacation rentals that always clean the carpets upon move outs.. $250 minimum and they'll give us 2-4 units, close by each other.. Makes it worth my time for porty work.. Anywhere from 2-10 months since the last cleaning.. They always have parking stalls for us.. Worked with that company since 1986..
