Kohler 27 not wanting to start

What started as the battery needing to be charged soon became more. Charged battery a couple of times, all was well until the next start the next day. then lead to engine not spinning. When I turn over the key a hmmm noise is all I get. shaft doesn’t not spin, nothing but a hmmmm noise.

Changed the battery. Same
changed the starter, same.

makes a humming noise when turning the key but doesn’t engage to kick over. Just a straight hmmmmmm.

Long shot diagnose opinions here on the board but that to ask if anyone has had the same problem and want to share their fix before its taken to the shop.

Could be a lot of things. Blower seized up, starter solenoid, faulty wiring, bad ground connection.

1st thing, grab the belts or coupler and see if it will turn over by hand.

Got her fixed. The dumb azz carpet cleaner owner installed the battery backwards.

I'd of said it was a bad earth.. all day long
