If she’s determined to waste money on putting that in a rug washing facility, have someone else move that piano

She has a piano and wants it taken and cleaned.

Do I have her call piano movers?

The thing will probably curl.
Low moisture and dry thoroughly. Curling really isn't common in pianos though.

Actually, a grand piano is easy to get a rug out from under by yourself. I'll tell you how if you really want to do this.

Just remember, whatever you do on-location, whether to save a little effort on your part or to save a little money for the customer, will come back to bite you hard if anything goes wrong. You'll be on the hook for everything involved in fixing it, including moving the piano.

PS: Is there any possibility of referring this to someone else? Do the easy work, give away the goofy stuff.

Yeah my problem is $1300 rug curls hahahah and you know it will if it's wet cleaned.
Clean that plastic, take the money and go to the next job. You sound like you've never cleaned a cheap rug on site. Just because she paid $1300 doesn't mean it's a good one

How viable is compound cleaning in place?

Easy to clean in place as long as you protect the floor. If it curls, it will settle back down eventually. Let her know in advance. Yeah, hire a piano mover if she wants it done inplant.

I believe that's not wood but tile that looks like wood.

The other issue is if there's pet stains.

That's more moisture.

I know how to explained what will ans won't happen

It's thier rug.

And they put there.

I do, I just skerd her off with a message of possible curling.

Or she's gonna find a Stanley steemer who'll do it all.

Let her go, sounds like a problem. If you told her about possible outcomes due to cleaning on site and she has reservations let her look around to find out for herself. She will either find someone else or call you back to come take care of it.

I think you skerd off some easy money.
She laid the ground work with I need your team to come move everything take the rug and bring it back and put everything back.

That's not easy money.

I personally can't move a large piano and wouldn't even try.

Then they complain the piano isn't tuned what did you do.

So unless she's willing to clean it in place, I would skip it.

First, I would’ve told her that I am not a team just me. Then I would’ve told her to handle moving the piano and then I will clean the rug offsite or in the house either way. Easy money.

inform the customer the piano will need to be tuned once moved and that you are not responsible for this. Charge to move the piano if you need the additional "motivation".
Open your wallet, And if it looks "Thin", tell the customer it needs to be cleaned in plant and charge alot more than in the home cleaning. 😈
I'm short, but I've moved pianos by myself. so man up and get paid.
