Howdy Folks. Need your opinion. I have a leaking aluminum waste water tank in an older van used as a stand by cleaning unit. Hate to stick a lot of money in this unit as it is only used when an extra van is needed on a large commercial job. Has anyone pulled the tank and then, after cleaning it up, had a new bottom and partial sidewall welded on?

Honestly... It will be a thorn in your side forever.... Just bite it and replace it...the amount of time....effort and money on trying to put a bandaid on it is not worth it..

and depending how bad the bottom has corroded, if minimal pitting holes, you can buy a gallon of epoxy and hardner for about $75 bukz
clean it and pour the epoxy on the bottom

You should get a year or more out of it ...been there done that
