Rug Making and Life in Iran
Thea Sand of Emmanuel's Rug and Upholstery Cleaning has been twice to Iran and recently to China and Tibet to visit rug factories and related industries. Thea will show some of her photos and give a presentation about current rug business and life in Iran.

Thea sticks to Iran this time. She was afraid the slide show would get too boring if it ran past 80 photos. There's a little rug making and a little culture, and a few other guys attending that will be worth meeting.

If Thea has been to the silk factories in China then I think its important to show a few slides of it.
I have three videos I took whan I was there
Two showed the good stuff being done, another shows them hand carve & shearing a silk ends/cotton mix. I asked the owner how she recommends cleaning these rugs. She said only vinegar and baby shampoo. Go figure.
