If there is a supplier or manufacturer out there who is starting to wonder where this is going can I just say this last straw has broken the camel’s back. No confirming advice of goods sent and/or tracking number

I don’t usually telegraph punches but best you don’t wait till you see day 2’s lesson.

I've seen a few suppliers self destruct in this manner, especially the ones who got by on "charisma" in times past. They get pretty good at "dog ate my homework" excuses and unannounced vacations at the worst possible times.

No, what about telling about something after it didn't happen?

I sent a customer to a supplier to pick up a few things she needed for janitorial cleaning. The lady talked to the supplier about us. All the supplier did was rave to the customer about us.

I have so good supplers around here

Nice try boof head

Roro is in another country and doesn't deal with me because we have a disagreement what to call the body on the back of truck. I call it a pantec and he says I am wrong. just kidding.

But I will say, if Ross has something up his nose, I am sure he has reason to vent. He is quite the professional and knows his stuff.

Re: Lesson1 How a supplier/manufacturer can destroy relation

A waste of bandwidth – we will agree to differ on that Ken.

Living in a distant country that doesn’t have a large manufacturing base I have had to import many specialised items – mostly from USA but also from England, Holland, Italy, Israel, Japan, Mexico and Australia.
Those purchases have varied from under a hundred dollars through to ten’s of thousands. I have learned to put my faith in the honesty and integrity of USA based suppliers and manufacturers to supply the requested goods in a timely manner.
I have done this now for just on 37 years and until now that faith has never been abused.

Advice of my intention to use the boards came only after extremely protracted and tortuous delays. In the end I decided on taking a predetermined series of steps which if ignored would have culminated in legal action and the possible destruction of a supplier/manufacturer’s reputation.
.
It is the first time that I have ever had occasion to use the boards in this manner and I am thankful to the providers and users for their existence.(Thank you Saint Mikey) We have all seen over the years that they enable the little guy to take on a corporate at minimal cost and to maximal effect without feeding the law sharks.

The goods have now been sent, so the situation is resolved in the most amicable manner and with the least damage to all concerned and yes I would buy from those suppliers again.
Pax vobiscum brothers.

Fair enough Ross - it's always risky buying stuff from overseas, but it's good to have in the back of your mind that you have the leverage of the boards as a last resort. Glad you got a good outcome 8)
