is this amount of saturated urine damage realistic?

How deep have you been successful with?

Cushion? Depends on the material. Both the face fabric, and stuffing... down and feathers? Forget it.
Body of couch? Forget it...
It’s like an adult human peeing the bed.
Once it’s gone that deep,
REPLACE...
We all know that when we clean upholstery, we are only cleaning the face fabric. Sure, you can inject an PSOR, and use the vacuum trick, or a water claw, but are we really getting to the source?
Are we rinsing it enough to flush the contamination, and chemical?
A resounding NO...

If urine is only on foam cushions, I treat the cushion as if it's a sponge, which it is.
I'll remove the covering. Use a garden hose to soak the cushion.
Place the cushion into a vacuum chamber (plastic trash bag) and extract the water with a TM. repeat several times.
Then once the bulk of urine is removed-- Repeat the above steps after applying urine treatment. Rinse a few more times.
Some chemical treatments will require you TO NOT rinse them out completely.

Charge extra for this, but it is cheaper than replacement.
But Yeah-- recommend replacement first.

Sawhorses outside over concrete driveway. Soak with P-lyme enzyme and then blast with pressure buzz tip until the water runs clear.

Follow with at least 24 hours of air drying in the sun.

Then, while it's still in the driveway you can either take it inside, or the rest of the way to the curb.

we have a local place that makes furniture so when situations arise where the cushion is contaminated, I tell them to take the cushion there and they will replace it with the same size and density foam. then we only need to deal with the fabric.
