I bought a old Hydra Cat off of a guy who had the original heater that came with it, a 4HT Hot-o-matic tri-coil 32 burner 180,000 BTU. he claims that he only had a thermostat. Since the Hydra Cat came out there has been a new recommendation to upgrade the regulator valve to 540,000 to allow higher flow.
Can I roll without an upgraded regulator valve or do I need one? I'm on a budget and if I can add it later I'd rather do that.
