like vacuuming and moving small furniture?

Chances are you are probably better at vacuuming than them. I picked up a noticeable amount of dirt after my clean FREAK grandmother.

Al, you must have either the best Tech's in the world or one hell of an insurance policy, guess you don't want that nice lil old lady to move all of her 587 breakable figurines she has nicley arranged at the edge of all her coffee tables, of which she has 15 little tables in a room, 8 lamps, lots of windows with years of dust bunnies built up on the blinds, 100's upon 100's of books she's collected over the years.... If you move ALLLLL of this.. I want to book an appointment right now!!

We don't share our SF prices with the customer. We do charge by the SF and that price varies depending on the soil level, furniture to be moved, etc. Show up, do the dog and pony show, measure out the rooms, ask what they would like done and how much to move, write up a bid and that's the price and we do 95% of the jobs we go to the same time we do the inspection and bid. We tell them on the phone the more we move the higher the cost but we are happy to move anything they want. Most customers move the small stuff anyways. We don't match prices. Sometimes we are lower priced even. Yes, I like to think I have the best people in the world. They are really nice and care about our customers.

ps One thing I have noticed that has helped our closing rate is to give them the free bottle of spotter as soon as we arrive. Sets a nice tone for the visit.

I like to think we all have the best techs.. ( atleast since its me almost all of the time for now!!) :mrgreen: And we charge by the sqft as well. Pretty much present the same as what you do, but its still nice to provide homeowners with a little list to prepare for cleaning, for instance:

We also provide a second page that introduces some of our referral programs as well as our spotters we offer. All of our customers really like this sheets in preparing for a cleaning and while we always say these are only recomendations and we would be happy to move more items for a higher cost, almost every customer has no problem moving small objects, and doing a little dusting and it makes our job that much easier.
