the stolen thread had me wondering what tools, gear/gadgets equipment have you lost over the years??

I'm embarrassed to say I've lost more than a couple airmovers over the years.
The reason?
too damn lazy to retrieve them in a timely manner and then forget about them.
when I remember they're missing, I couldn't recall where they were dropped :redface:

Those were the only large dollar items lost

after that, a hand tool we left in one of the myriad of student rentals we did every August

and of course our share of tabs, blocks, and hose hooks

what have you lost?
Not stolen, just flat out lost/misplaced/left and not recovered

I left an air mover at an apartment complex that we used to clean for. I totally forgot about it for over a year after we quit cleaning there.

Once I remembered that I left it there, I decided not to retrieve it as we had done a lot of work for them, and I knew they were probably using it for small drying jobs.

Still don't need it as we do not do much water intrusions anymore.

I lost an expensive protimeter once. I was using it to check the transom of a boat for moisture and forgot it on the swim platform. By the time I remembered, it was gone.

Damn spell check won't let me write stuff. Keeps changing what I typed. Is there a way around spell check here?

I tried to post the list of all the equipment and supplies our crews have lost over the years but I kept getting a notice saying the file was too large....:dejection:

You have to disable it on your device. I tried on mine but it keeps coming back. Pita especially when you are deliberately trying to misspell something.

Lockhart lost Justin's motocross gear bag and gear in the Arizona desert. Don't ever trust him with your gear! :winky:
