Goop is NOT needed on 95% of Genuine
GreenGlides, they are custom machined for an exact fit.
If your glide is one of the few that requires some adhesive, it would have been included with the packaging.
In general, a warm glide instals easier than a cold glide, on some it can mean just not installing it in 20ºf weather, on others it means physically heating it to 150ºf core temp so that the teflon is pliable.
Many guys will tell you to just force them on while at room temp, be careful, because as most will install with some "help", it is very likely you will cause stress fractures that will materialize months down the road and the glide will crack, not to mention the stretch on the cold teflon will not "spring back" and the glide will be loose
A properly warmed glide will not develop these stress fractures and will stretch easily without distorting.
What model does your glide say on it Greg?
