Most places that sell bearings also have the couplers.

Bearings and drives
Miller bearings

did you shred a coupler, Rich?

Danny, you shredded one in less than 245 hours??

I've heard some of the home built (which is what I consider most of the independent mnfgrs TMs)
shred couplers often

I had a Chemtex panter 25 that ate them nearly as fast as I could buy them.

I tried everything.

The cure was to get rid of the POS.

Motion Industries is a good source too.

When they are aligned perfectly they will last for years. We had one last four years, after chewing up two in a few hours. Two pieces of 1" angle iron about 6-8" long will make it easy. Lay the angles over BOTH cups and feel for misalignment in height or angle. Many "factory" couplers are only crudely lined up.

Almost on purpose?

here's where I would suggest:

MOTION INDUSTRIES
114 SOUTH SUGAR HOLLOW RD
MORRISTOWN , TN 37813

Phone: (423) 587-6156
Fax: (423) 587-6417

They will show up on Saturdays if you really need the part.- Jim

He was too far away from his disty to get it fixed right.

That was the companies name I bought mine from in Spokane. Motion... Great price always had them, and after a while they did not even need to ask what I wanted when I walked though the door, in fact I think they held a few behind the counter for me all the time.

On the crappy old days.

What happened was my front van door closed on the motor cutting the air off and blocking the exhaust....The engine choked down (200 ft. of vac hose on) and with the jerking from the bogging broke the coupler.
I have one on but need a spare. BTW, there are 3 models of the same size..one piece solid..one piece cut ..and 2 piece.....thanks to all who answered...Richard R

BTW, I will be using a bungee cord on the door from now on....
