Lumps in Carpet

I did a re-stretch job a few months ago for a customer that was complaining about loose carpet and lumps in the pad. I just figured the lumps were where the pad got bunched up. No, it was piles of very fine dirt under the pad :shock: ! I cut hole in the pad vacuumed up the lumps and put a decent stretch on the carpet. He calls back today to schedule another lump removal. I think I’ll just cut some slits in the carpet and pad and patch them this time :mrgreen: .

I thought I had lost my smokes forty years ago.

Thought I found them after I had finished laying the carpet.

That bloody lump under the carpet in the middle of the room.

So I just hammered them down.

Turned out, it was the kid's pet budgie.


And then, bugger me if the anti smoking mob didn't get me to do an ad for them a few years ago, with a little twist.
