Huge vinyl floored hall/classrooms with stage and screen setup.
Lot of space for truckmounts and overflow parking around the corner
Plenty of VFWs around to shoot the shit with.

and we have a GREAT line up in the works for an in depth discussion panel on growing from a one truck operation/job to a 2, 3 or 4 truck/real business with MB celebs Tom King, Mark Saiger, Joe Appleby and (possibly) Dave Gill.

Rick Gelinas and Scott Warrington have committed to come out and speak.
Sapphire and Hydramaster will be there for sure.
I'm willing to bet Prochem, Aerotech, Magic Wand, Devastator, CTI, Turbo Force and Mytee will be there as well.

I'm sure Fred will show upto tell you how not to mess up your website too..

Plenty more to come. I'm just getting started.

Jordan & I just booked flights, car and a room at the Seacliff Best Western. Just a little motivation to sell hard this summer.

$15 only gets you a pork chop and some beans and tator salad, if you want into the building you'll be handing ME (Satan) over at least a cool C note.

No host this year means I'm doing all the planning, catering, cigarette pick up, donating of weed wackers, taking countless phones calls about how many IICRC credits the event is worth, rounding up vendors, speakers, hookers and countless other thankless jobs.

and since Mytee and Judson won't be there for me to extort, I have to make up my losses by charging more to get in.

$15?

Is Tom worth paying that much for?

Marty that's what Mike will be charging the folks who can comprehend what we will be talking about.

The rest of you will have to pay $500 for the two day event just like the other seminar series. That's if you get registered by Jan1 after that it goes up to $800 so hurry up and send Mike your check. Make it payable to the hip dudes special event fund.

I finally heard back from the Aptos Grange Hall. (site of M4F)

Hi Mike, Thanks for thinking of us, but I think it's best you find another location for your convention this year. I can't move the jazzercise group, and we've been having many of our Saturday afternoons filled also, and it was difficult situation all the way around, that we don't care to re-enact.

I've heard the masonic hall behind the safeway on Morrisey is a larger hall and they are looking for group renters such as your group. Sorry I don't have the phone number in front of me right now, but if you can't find it let me know, I do have it, I just don't have access to it now.

I went and secured the VFW hall yesterday.

Those that attended MF in San Diego will recall the hall we used there, much the same situation only better.

Plenty of parking. Outside power outlets and water hook ups everywhere.

They have a kitchen with staff that will cook lunch for you meAtheds for $10. A BBQ area where for $15 you'll get Tri Tip, Chicken and all the fixens .

On site bar with a great selection, jukebox and pool table.

Class room with a stage and 200 chairs and 20 tables.

There is a cemetery on one side and a re-upholstery shop on the other.

While there are plenty of hotels in town, I'm sticking with recommending the Aptos Seacliff in as it's away from the homeless scene, close enough to the beach, has a great courtyard and bar and is near my house for the select few of you who will be invited over to steal my garden equipment.
