The lower shaft broke on my blower. I found a used one a few months ago, through this board. Now, the upper shaft cracked at the timing gear on the used replacement.
I took them both apart and I’m building one working blower. All is going well until I try and line up the timing gears. Since I’m using the upper and lower shafts from different blowers, the lobes aren’t lined up if I align the timing marks.
If I align the lobes and put the timing gears on disregarding the timing marks, the blower spins by hand smoothly. Would the blower still spin freely if I’m off by one tooth?
