Every month the Chamber has an event called "Business After Hours" held at a local business. What I've been trying to do with the monthly host is work out a deal where I can clean some of the main areas of carpet or tile & grout and in return put a sign on display for the event.

Just wondering if anyone does anything like this with their local Chamber events and if so how are you doing it and how is it working for you?

I did notice my website hits went up alot after I had the sign and business cards on display.

Great idea, I like your logo and the sign is very professional looking.

We actually have the "Business After Hours" scheduled for next month, May 20th.

We've been on the list for 2-years, it's finally our turn. We did a walk through with the Chamber rep Tuesday, she said to expect 350-people.

Should be a great event for us, we did it 20-years ago and every now and then we get a customer that says they attended it, and were so impressed that that's why they initially called us.

We have to cover the beer and appetizers, not too bad!

Richard - Some times the host will team up with someone that can provide the drinks and food and they'll call it a double bill. Who ever provides the food and drinks ( most times a restaurant ) will have a big display so people know who they are.

Scott - Thanks for the compliment , I'm not sure what Banana is but I'm sure it's a good thing

Yes, Bruce, Banana is good. I'm updating my blog to further explain the Banana concept. I'm sure you'll get a kick out of it.

Here picking up the tap for food and drinks is just part of the commitment of hosting the event.

It's not to bad considering the exposure to the targeted market.

Now if they would only look to see where they are in between eating and drinking!

Bruce,

Sweet idea, I was actually just thinking about this the other day but from a marketing stand point to the business hosting to try and book a job for money. I would curious if you could update us on how this is working.

I may try this for the next one in May. It is at a small golf and country club that is trashed and always has been. I have approached them before and got the dumb dog look. I may be able to work in some golf rounds too.

Our chamber also does coffee club and networking at noon as sponsor businesses. This could be an option too.

Thanks for sharing this. I love this place.

Bryan I'll keep you posted on how it's going.

So far I only got to do the one Business after hours , the next host already had their carpets cleaned as they are a restaurant . I'm working on this months already, hope I can swing a deal with them.

Scott , where is your blog?
