No carpet is pet proof.
Having the carpet sealed between the backing and the fibers, DOES keep the nasties off the pad, but, cleaning the Petproof* makes the wand much harder to maneuver, by reducing the airflow from under the carpet and to the pad and subfloor.
It creates a "pseudo lock-down" which impedes recovery.
