I think there's too much weight loaded in the back of the trailer with the combination of going too fast

(not so much speed, as loaded wrong)

not enough weight in the front of the trailer.
rule of thumb is 10% of gross wt should be tongue wt on the ball

meaning if trailer and load is 5000 pounds, should be minimum 500 pounds on the ball hitch

A sway controller would have helped. Probably didn't have any load bars either.
