And the next guy came in and cleaned it without ever looking and had no problem. The customer was happy and now has a new cleaning company.

I have seen markings like that a lot that never became an issue. Did they test it to see if the marker was going to bleed with your cleaning solution?

This was my surprise a few weeks ago....

I didn't even notice that the ottoman really didn't match the design of that chair....

I got lucky....

I had tested the chair material for bleeding, but didn't expect the ottoman to have been a cheap recover job...

I didn't have distilled water on the van (somehow had run out and forgot to restock) so I had sprayed it with a teaspoon of Saiger's Deep Blue in a quart bottle of regular water....soon as I did the pattern below popped out.....

No color transfer....and I speed dried that puppy fast after extraction.....
