We had a fast moving storm pass through dumped a bunch of rain and knock out power in places. Several businesses already called in. We have 5 water damage crews out. One business had 5000sq/t wet.

Hey Richard, are these insurable claims? Are you treating them as Cat 3 losses? Just curious.

The homes we did today we pulled the pad and then setup drying. They will clean once the home is dried.

Cat 3? No fecal matter.

These are probably cleaner than many homes that have pets. We aren't the Water Damage Police. We will do what makes sense and if its doesn't they sign refusal of recommendation. If its trying to salvage sewage damage carpet we would refuse the job entirely.

Chavez sounds like a guy I would love to refer WD work to.

In my area I just give out a few phone numbers and always say, "these are the guys that are in the area, but none of them have my explicit recommendation."

As you can imagine I have yet to collect a referral fee :headscratch:

You are due something. That amount can be a flat referral fee or a reasonable percentage of the invoicee. You should ask for call ask if they have a program. I'd also check them out, you don't want to refer some schmucks.

Thanks Richard. "refusal of recommendation". Duly noted.
