Mounting a belly tank

Trying to mount my belly tank for the lg.

The only clear place is on the driver's side just in front of the gas filler neck.

I have 2 "L" brackets, but the way the tank is supposed to go with the brackets, does the top of the bracket mount to the underside floor of the van?

I know this is simple but I cannot figure this out. No matter what you do with the brackets, it doesn't come anywhere close to bolting to the frame.

Need Some Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, mine is mounted to the floor.

Be sure to use large washers or backing plates to disperse the load.

Get four 1/2 inch threaded rods, large washers and self locking nuts. Drill up threw the floor, mount bolts, measure and make sure it will fit your bracket.
I had to cut into bottom of truck body to get it high enough, Ford 250. It was a bitch. Good Luck, you can do it.

The short side of the "L" mounts to the floor of the van.

If the "L" is too short, you have to use longer brackets or space the "L" down with large diameter fender washers if it is close.
