Mikey;

I looked at the "Y" that Nick welded up before the vac testing began.

I thought the flow thru it was more than adequate.

I don't remember ANY Goop or sealant.

You mean "U"?

Y ask air to make a sharp turn when U can let if flow unrestricted?

Larry didn't you use to make Y joiners?

We used to weld up "Y" adapters.

Now we buy them formed of stainless steel.

Larry,

The wyes you used to weld up were far better than the ones you use now. Why didn't you stick with those?! They were awesome! yes, I know they are tedious and expensive to produce, but some things are worth it. Just charge enough to make them worth it and be done with it.

Turbulence is the enemy in a U or tee configuration. The one Larry posted is certainly better than the one used at the bbq, but neither will perform as well as the one Jeff (Greenie) makes or the one Larry used to make.

Larry, please brink back your original wye!

Take care,
Lisa

George;

The one shown above is one 2.5" to two 2" hoses.

This is the business end of the old one at the 2.5" inlet:

Do you have any idea how many Ys I've made and sold....people WILL pay a decent price for superior craftsmanship....maybe just not in Dallas?
