I agree with Tre and I don't understand why there is so much anger about this. Maybe you could use that energy to go after more clients. Just my .02

I sent the email below to Wiley last night along with an article that I’m not able to post on this board because it’s a PDF.

Please read what I wrote him and then if you feel the need to continue to attack me or whatever, do so because it doesn’t hurt my feelings, it keeps my name out there and the smart people know that condemnation without investigation is foolish.

I really like these comments, they are pretty funny. If you would like me to fly you out to my conference next week so you can say things like this to my face and Lisa’s then let me know and I will happily purchase you a plane ticket and a hotel for you. Although the hotel where I'm holding the event is completly sold out. I will get you a room at a close by hotel.

You just need to agree that you’ll share this same comment with hundreds of the world’s top cleaners and professionals that will be in attendance, then I will give you some stage time to share your wisdom with the group on how you have created a million dollar a year company that is Easy, Lucrative and Fun. (I'm serious)

I don't normally join in with the Polish bashing that goes on here, and in other places. Not because I have any particular love for Joe (I don't particularly dislike him either). It's just that I get tired of all the childish stuff that goes on. However, it's of interest to me that this post came about only 30 minutes, or so, after I had a phone conversation with some dude named Phil at Joe's office.

You see, I filled out a "survey" that I got by email last night, from Joe Polish. In the email, it said that my survey would be personally reviewed by Joe and Lisa, so I filled it out as honestly as I could, hoping they would contact me with answers to my questions. Answers have been hard for me to obtain from Joe's website and a couple of conversations I've had with his office and people who use him. I just need specifics. You know ... THIS is what we can do for you, given the results you need, and THIS IS HOW MUCH IT WILL COST.

Well, today I get a phone call from "Phil." He thanks me for filling out the survey and sees that I have been in their system since 2001. He asks me what I have used of theirs, I tell him, and he wants to know my opinion of the newsletter program (which is all I have ever tried of his). I start to tell him, but he cuts me off with questions from my survey. I ask him, after a pause of his for breath, if he can give me some specific steps they can do for me and what it will cost me. Man ... this set him off into a 15 minute speach telling me that they do so many things for so many people, and Joe's been doing this for so many years, and he (Phil) has been operating a business for 30 years, during which time he has been a student of marketing using THOUSANDS of different items, plans and programs .... etc, ad nauseum.

After forcing him to admit that he is not in business, but works for Joe, I tell him that he's not answering my original question ... which sets him off again on an end around. During this time, the only answer I get is to a question I never asked. He basically told me I was a dumb-ass who didn't have a clue of how to market my services and he (Phil, and I GUESS Joe too) know all the thousands of steps I should take to be successful.) None of which he is willing to discuss, or give prices on.

Just another unsuccessful attempt to get some specific information and a road map to my success.

All I was saying that I was surprised that Lisa wasn't on there to stick up for him like she always does. Gees, I didn't think I would get that kind of reaction out of him! :shock: To bad that I am going to SFS next week so I would have to miss his conference.

people get sick of the newsletter

I don't like the "carpet audit"

and I don't care for how the marketing bashes other companies,,,,,,I never had to.

don't like the dog and pony show either

but i did a rec rm,living rm,hall & stairs today (with sg) for over $500.......so apparantely some of the marketing works cuz this home was a repeat custy

all I've really learned though is to raise my prices when i start up on my own in a couple weeks

The survey is yet another hidden agenda (read bait and switch) of Piranha. "We want your opinion" really means "I"m going to sell this guy some more marketing stuff"

Despicable!

There is a more professional way of presenting their services but they continue to demean us with their sleazy tactics. Too bad there are so many Kool-Aid drinkers around that keep getting sucked in.

Both are very unprofessional if you ask me...

He should not care what people have to say or think about his marketing programs...let alone call some one out ...and if you ruffle the rug "chicks" feathers..she strikes out like a mean old benny hen...
basically all is states is that they are insecure on there products....kinda like the slide glide guy...challenge him on his product and it seems he jump ship and ran...whats that tell ya....buyer beware...

I wonder if the attendees of these events actually think Joe is going to hang and have a beer with them after the group hug.

For ten grand you may get a x ray of his signature on your 3 part Xmas card.

Now it's twice I've heard that... Does the Polish system really cost ten grand?

If so, I can see why they have money to fly doug out and put him on stage. I'd make him a deal, nine grand if he doesn't waste any of my money to prove a point.

10 Gs is the entry plan, it'll cost another 5 to get Lisa or Joe on the phone for 3 minutes.
