My Airpath isn't working

When we turn it on it just makes a whinning noise and does nothing. I have had other fans do this and it was the capacitor, but I can't find anything like that on this thing. Any ideas?

Check to see if the bearing has froze on the shaft of the motor.

Can you spin the fan by hand? If so it may not be a bearing.

Sounds like the motor is shot. Hows the cord and all the connections?

Now you hear a noise...... and then You don't

Go figure, I tore the thing apart, cleaned it up and found nothing wrong. I put it together and still nothing but a funny noise. I spun the blades with my hands while it had power and after a few spins it started to work. I have tested it many times today and it works perfect every time I hit the button.

I don't know what it was but I am glad to have it back.

the field coil or the armature has a weak spot in it...........

I am willing to bet that it gets warmer then the others when it does run.............
