I'd like to have one. It was the first TM I ever worked with (and ON)when Mark Church was still in biz in Fallon. Cool machine.

Ahh, Zen and the art of turckmount maintenance. Working on a truckmount can actually be quite enjoyable when you aren’t stressed because the downtime is costing you customers.

Why not start building your own direct drives bob? I’m sure you could undercut the big manufacturers and make a ton of money.

Relatively, yes :) .

What did I misjudge; your aptitude, your ambitions, or the logistics?

One of you MBr's would be nuts to not buy the Genie and put it in a sound used van.

If nothing else as a killer Lima Bean style back up

Hey Bob, a local called me awhile back.
Wanted to know if I wanted to buy any equipment as he went out of business.
I went and looked at what he had. Nothing I was interested in just a pos leaky slide in and a van but while I was there I saw a Steam Genie direct drive sitting in his garage.
It looked just like that scrap heap in the back of your truck,

That's exactly what I'm thinking of, those things leave all kind of rooms for rugs if you put the reels on the left side, even in a standard van.

Can't fit 'em on the left, or just not advisable?

No. I said it looked just like the scrap heap you just picked up.

I would have called you on it but I could not find the SS Wanner pump anywhere.
