I would recommend dropping during or after the job a few times, too. It shows your customers that you care, and it will keep him on his toes.

I find that a new employee is like a new driver. When my daughter got her license, she was the greatest driver in the world for a few months. Then she wrecked the car when she became careless.

Watch for the carelessness curve to come. It usually does.
