I think the general consensus is good for light soil, low moisture use.

Longevity of the tool being the real concern.



The clear Sapphire tool with the locking trigger is what Jim Pemberton, the world's utmost authority on upholstery cleaning recommends.

We use two Mytee Dri upholstery tools. We have had them for about 12 months. They show light signs of wear. I feel that they clean very well. I like the water flow adjustment right on the head. I have used nearly all available upholstery tools out there.

We replaced our Hydra Master DriMaster upholstery tools with the Mytee Tri tools and I feel the Mytee Dri cleans and dries a bit faster.

Just my opinion.

More importantly than duration , how much uph do you clean a week?

On average, 7 assorted pieces a week per tool. Primarily a recliner followed by sofa and loveseat. Not many dining room chairs.

We occasionally see really soiled upholstery but usually simply normal soil.

I like it as well as the DriMaster.

Well the tool is more ergonomic in my hands. It glides easy,and rinses out the fabric really well.

I loved the DriMasters, no complaint. They are a bit more expensive than the Mytee Dri. I read the feed back on Mytee and wanted to try them out.

I am satisfied with the purchase.

I have had a tool similar to what Loren posted many years ago.

To be honest, I didn't like it, could not get between fixed cushions easily.

I love my HydroKinetic for big, flat surfaces.

Sapphire for filthy fabrics.

MyteeDry for normal upholstery work that I get.

I also use my Makita for encap & towel after on a lot of commercial furniture.

For all of the above, I use my FlexiPro Battery Powered Sprayer.

I assume that is because you can crank up the flow with the Sapphire and not have water going all over every time you life the tool off the fabric, correct?
I'll also assume that you had the solid blue Sapphire and bought the Mytee because it is clear, partially, correct?
You could lock the trigger and turn down the flow on the SS and get the exact same performance as the Mytee, correct?

Other than the Mytee having the adjustment valve on the handle instead of the other end of the hose, what would be the difference between the new invisible SS and the Mytee, besides cost?

Living in the sticks, we have no dedicated CARPET CLEANING supplier within a thousand miles of us.

This is why many of my purchases are from Lora & John.

I get honest, prompt answers from them, have done for a decade or so.

I get little to no information from the suppliers down south. consequently, my business goes overseas for ancillary equipment.

Unfortunately, it's too expensive to ship the good solutions in small amounts to me, and the major suppliers don't stock what I want.

I have noticed BIG VARIATIONS in shipping from different suppliers over there as well, which makes some of them shoot themselves in the foot, so to speak.

Our market is just too small compared to the 'States, Canada & the U.K. for Australian suppliers to carry much stock.

it's the exact same spray pattern and vacuum set up as the Sapphire, minus the trigger so what do you need to know?

Always looking for new tools and improvements. Either in cleaning/ flushing ability, cost, durability, efficiency, leaving less marks on velvet and ergonomics.

A thorough review from a frequent, experienced user is always appreciated.

I bought one, because if they work good I would buy one for every truck. Not all that impressed. It clogs easily with hair and lint. And it leaks air from the needle valve Oring. We have to clean this thing out all the time.

I purchased a Mytee at a CAD at Pro Line in Sac about 6 months ago. I used it last week on two jobs that also wanted Love seat and couch cleaned. Now this should tell you how much I clean furniture. (not much)
I looked over the tool before I bought it, the ss plate was properly seated and no sharp edges so I bought it.
Now mind you I have only used crappy tools with external jets, I have never used any other of the always flushing tools, I can say that it did make cleaning the furniture much more enjoyable.
I did have to take my vac hose and suck some tangled hair out of the tool, but compared to the other tools that I have used I can see why this type of tool is so nice to use. No water running down what you have already cleaned.
As far as how long it lasts?? For me and what I do probably longer than most.
I don't mind the needle valve as I was able to adjust with my finger if I wanted more or less.
I can't say how it stacks up to the others.....I can say it did fine for me, IF there would have been a SS tool there that day I probably would have bought it but they did not have any.
The Mytee did a good job on the things I cleaned but they were NOT trashed just lighty soiled.
