need suggestions for fake mud, that will clean up easily for commerical

doing a video with muddy foot prints, and clumps of mud. I'll be sure to spray fiber protector down before the shoot, it's going to be messy.Prefer not to use any food products.

of couse I can, but I'm going to dirty up my kid, the carpet and the prop I'm using. I'll be using multiple products to make it look realistic. I'll have to experiment for a little bit, before going to location

Some of that soil they tested using the NASA gun would work really well except it extracts best with a Rug Doctor.

Nothing "fake" you'd make would be any harder or easier to rinse and wash off than the real thing.
substitutes might even be harder

It's washable until it dries and the water has evaporated leaving the dye behind.
