These pieces including the wood were made by the grandparents.
This couple (originally from Louisville KY told me great stories about the pieces they had in the house.
This chair with a matching footstool was made by their grandparents. The grandmother did all the darning (knitting work for the covers.
Wood pieces created by the grandfather. They owned a hardware store where they sold these as well.
Glad they didn't want them (or need them cleaned)
A grandfather clock they also had in the home had come over by boat from England I believe.
