Picked up a wine stained Cactus Fiber rug today.


Her guest dumped some bubbly water on it and it puckered up/shrank in that corner.


She took it to Talisman a few years ago and they didn't want to touch it.

I'm giving it to Artisan to see if they can handle it.

No label on the back so don't know the fiber content. Sure does feel prickly though..

it's woven in Nepal these are sold as "hemp" rugs to the hippies all of the ones I've seen are actually a fiber called Aloo which is a type of Himalayan Nettle some are alternately knotted, plied with wool or silk in the pile. I have one in the shop right now for washing maybe i'll post a couple pics ...or not?

let us know how well artisan does see if he's got the "artisan" part down :lol:

neither, i'll use my rug psychic powers amplified by my thrift store toupee to will the rug straight!



is that what artisan is most concerned about ?

It's a cacti, it doesn't need much water.






You know that sumbich is gonna shrink down to a coaster before it's done.
