We had a really good customer call us yesterday. She spilled some red acrylic paint on a syntetic shag (10' round) rug. OMG how much dirt can one rug hold! I think there was 20 lbs of stuff in this rug. Wire, wood, sea shells, dog hair, you name it. Anyway, any suggestions on how to clean these without having a in house plant. Got most of the red stain out but still working on it. How should I price this? She's a good customer but not that good! Alot of work for a 10' rug. Any suggestions would be helpful. :p I will post some pics later on.

I've used a chop stroke with the vacuum, it moves the yarns back and forth and allows the soil to be removed. Takes extra time of course.

I would use Alsolv and Orangel on the acrylic

we found a buck in change in a 5x7-6x9 size shag accent rug
I found 2 dachshunds, a tribe of lost pygmies and Indiana Jones - IN MY VACUUM BAG the last shag I cleaned.

we flip and shake and vacuum the back to vibrate more dirt loose. it would be afraid to vacuum the front. charge what you think is fair for your time.
