I would be interested in your comparison of different products. I have not tried to purchase any variety, preferring to use what I can buy locally.
So what I use mostly is BioBreak. Only occasionally do I use Flex for the gooey carpets.
Using only household hot water and city pressure, these two products dissolve, clean and rinse predictably and effectively.

What are your go-to products and how do they compare to these that I mentioned?

Flex powdered pre-spray is a top tier heavy hitter great for any rathole, not just "gooey" ones
If Bio-Break is Bridgepoint's product...it's "OK"

You haven't tried Prochem Extreme yet?
Git sum
and Ultrapac Trafficlean mint

So hurtful.

But I’m not just interested in what people use, I want to know what they’ve tried and why they changed.

I can not confirm or deny any prespray because I haven't received my sample of that powdered acid rinse from said company.

All of the top tier companies are good. I use Procyon extreme and plus powder mainly because it's non toxic and doesn't foam. Doesn't foam at all. Are you listening Stephen, who uses a portable? Doesn't foam at all. Then code Red for the nasty stuff. Foams a little but is manageable. Portable guys need non foaming products more than tm guys. The carpet details that Jackie uses is also good stuff.

masterblend soil lifter here, as its the best woolsafe product I've tried for 80% my jobs

a knock off of PB from that company that Jimmys sending a sample to for the 20%

@Old Coastie wouldnt something like procyon as mentioned or carpet details be well suited to a porty user?
Not that I've used them, but low foaming and dont need to be kept wet before extracting.
The 2nd can be problem for me when running a porty and not using a HF and trying to get dwell time

I tried the raptor prespray since I was ordering the new prochem rinse and a few other things. Worked great with cold water. Burner wasn't firing and the carpet was clean to begin with. Pretty much the same a flex but cheaper. Code red for anything with organics, coffee, pop, urine etc. Amazon has ultrapac extreme with free shipping. Tried that and it worked great. Just a funny smell that the customers all liked.

Prochem Ultra Pack Extreme is a hard hitter and great for nasty. Code Red is also great and seems to look even better the next day after it drys. The new Prochem rinse has also seemed to improve cleaning, get the sample if you haven't already. We use Bio Break as our everyday.
