They were fixing this Chemtex out back. The mechanic expressed that they are great units for the price in his opinion. First time I ever saw one in person.

A Jon-Don mechanic said that?

probably the same guy who says 11"hg cleans better than 15"hg, must be a Prochem thing?

I'd say 90% of suppliers should study and copy the JonDon showrooms. I was at the one in ATlanta and it looked very similar.

Anyone tell me how the lunch was at the latest SFS? Did they get the Chicken Marsala?

That guy Tom is a riot. Bum a smoke off of him, he loves it. At the old facility, we had to endure truckmounts running in the shop during the classes, the instructor would actually have to pause. wild stuff. This new place is great, I cant believe how fast they ship the stuff.

Danny you are joking right? While I don't have one myself. I do have a friend that has one parked out behind his shop. After replacing every major component in less than three years he gave up and bought a boxxer. The pressure pump burned out because of the what seems to be related to a bad heat exchanger design. The pump lobes sucked part of the vac relief valve into it and yes the heat exchanger started leaking and later spraying water. Maybe he got a lemon maybe he did something wrong. He definitely gave up when the heat exchanger went. He has had the boxxer for a year now with no problems. I am with Greenie I can't believe a mechanic would endorse them.

I could be wrong but I would be willing to bet Greenie talks to BDCCs all over the world. I am sure he hears the good, bad, and the ugly of every machine available.

Need you to come out and give me an opinion on our showroom. :D If you guys would buy more stuff then I could afford to build a huge storage area like theirs but for what we have I think where doing ok and we ship faster then anybody (In my opinion of course).

I do want to go out and visit them and maybe even take the SFS. If we are to accomplish the goals we have set for in our 5 year plan it will help to see what we are up against and I hope "they'' let me in the store unlike someone else that has made me persona non grata in their local store...

I've been to the Atlanta Jon Don and it's pretty small. I've been to the Tampa Jon Don and that place is huge, the largest carpet supply house I've been to. The Tampa Interlink dealer the second largest followed by the Atlanta one, and the Interlink dealer in Pensacola, FL is the smallest dealer I've been to.

I sold my Chemtex just a month or 2 ago after 5 and a 1/2 years of trouble free use. It is still being used by another company. There are always the occasional lemons, but they really are good machines for the money. As with any machine, if you don't know your way around a tool box, you are going to have problems.

PS: I am even more pleased with my BlueWave so far.

Yea but it is hard to beat their service. Frank and Vicki at Chemsolutions rock.

They are supposed to be expanding at Chemsolutions. They were able to sell me my truck mount because they were the only ones who seemed actually interested in helping a new business get started. I got the call from Jon Don after I placed my order, and another dealer wouldn't quote me on a new setup cause they wanted to get rid of what they had.
