Ive seen what its about.. you lay out a sheet with 3 sections for the client to choose from .. example: Bronze - Silver- Gold .. Bronze would list the basic cleaning steps with the basic price ..Silver would list the basic plus a few extra steps maybe including a deodorizer .. Gold would list everything you can offer with a protective coating for a premium price..

alot of people usually choose the middle when offered 3 choices unless they really want the protector..(or you sell it) and if they choose the basic right away with out information about the upgrades.. more times than not, they may just be a price shopper who only wants to build a relationship with the price and not with you.

its a pretty good low pressure technique.. especially if you don't like to sell.. alot of times when you start mentioning the extras, all the client may hear is BLAH BLAH BLAH while looking at you thinking, "Yeah you're just trying to get more money from me."

That was right on except for a few points.

I think package pricing is a great way to start up if you want clientele now.
You will get great response if you send to a large amount of households. I started my biz with package pricing and I did very well.

The great part is once you get the clients ,whatever kind calls you, you can then be very selective about who you market to from that point on.
If you got a lot of middle of the road custys you could send postcards to them about the benefits of scotchy. Or If you got any high-end hits you could send them reminders, newsletters, etc...If you got any price shoppers you could go on a case by case basis with them. Or just delete them from your database and move on from there.

Just find a price-point that works for you. You do not necessarily have to do the same packages as you competition. Set yourself apart.(DO NOT be "CHEAP")

And pay tour $5 a month for the ability to read the rest of these responces in the Marketing section of this board once it gets moved.

Good luck
